In 1967 I married Bill Hinote (class of 1962) and had three great kids before divorcing in 1979. At the annual class gathering in 1996 (and at the "ripe old age" of 50) I met classmate Dave Murray and 14 months later we married. I moved to his house in the country in the South Lyon area and don't miss city living at all. I have 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons ranging in age from 17 to 8 months. Dave has two sons and four grandchildren (3 boys and 1 girl).
I'm still working as office manager, assistant to the actuaries and general "all-around-go-to-gal" for an actuarial firm in Southfield and will celebrate my 36th anniversary at work in October 2013 but look forward to the day I can retire. Dave is a master plumber and works as a plumbing and mechanical inspector in 4 municipalities now and has been doing so for close to 37 years. He is slowly retiring and hopes to retire in 2014. Let's see how that works out. But I digress - he can tell his own story.
In my spare time, I quilt, read, garden, work on my genealogy (a full time job in itself) and enjoy the grand kids. Dave and I are very involved in an antique tractor club and the Class of '64 Reunion Committee. We love to travel in our RV, Sadie (yes, we named her), but are sticking pretty close to home and look forward to the day we can travel more.
Until then, we plot and plan for the 50th in 2014. It's gonna be a hum-dinger so plan on joining us and don't hesitate to jump in with both feet and help in the planning stages. You'll want to be in on this one. Hope to see everyone then.
